Our Mission
Internet crimes are often thought of as victimless. Nothing could be further from the truth. Children and teenagers can and do become victims of Internet crimes.
| Predators contact teenagers and children over the Internet and victimize them by: |
 "You won't know we're there 'till it's too late!" |
 Enticing them through online contact for the purpose of engaging them in sexual acts. | |
| Using the Internet for the production, manufacture, and distribution of child pornography. | |
| Using the Internet to expose youth to child pornography and encourage them to exchange pornography. |
Oregon's Attorney General created a statewide Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)Task Force with the help of the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
"Our Mission..." It is the Mission of the Oregon ICAC Task Force to protect Oregon's children through community education and the identification, apprehension and prosecution of those who commit Internet crimes against children.
