Division's Roseburg Office Will Provide Services Beginning July 1, 2007

Attorney General Hardy Myers today announced that effective July 1, 2007 responsibility for all child support services in Curry County will be transferred from the Curry County District Attorney's office to the Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Child Support (DCS); services will be provided by the DCS office in Roseburg, Oregon. The office is located at 2440 NW Troost Street, Suite 100 in Roseburg.

The decision to transfer responsibility for services to DCS was made by DOJ and Curry County officials after the county determined it had insufficient financial resources to continue administering the program through the District Attorney's office located in Gold Beach, Oregon. Curry County will join eight counties whose child support program is administered solely by DCS.

The employee who handled child support cases in the District Attorney's office has been offered a position with the Medford DCS office.
