The Department of Justice Crime Victims’ Services Division (CVSD) has the responsibility of assisting individual victims of crime with crime related costs, ensuring victims’ rights are honored and providing state and federal funding to local victim service providers.
Each program is separate but very connected in our mission of serving crime victims in the most effective and sensitive manner. It is our division’s goal and mission to improve the services to all victims of crime.
CVSD also plays an essential role in shaping statewide best practices and policy in services to victims of crime. Through our active advisory committees and stakeholder partnerships, we seek to involve diverse voices in the work surrounding the issues affecting victims and survivors of crime statewide.
