Your board of directors sets the tone and direction of your organization.
How do you build a strong, diverse, and engaged board? Once you accomplish that, how do you maintain member involvement? The Developing and Managing a Board of Directors training will provide a step-by-step guide to building an effective board, as well as offer strategies for keeping members involved and accountable. This training is intended for staff within victim service organizations who work closely with a board of directors. It is not for those who are serving on a board of directors.
The training will be delivered online over the course of 4 weeks, beginning on January 11, 2021. Each week, except for the introductory week, will include a 75-minute facilitated webinar. In addition to attending the webinar, you can expect to spend an hour per week completing written assignments, reading, or watching videos. You will find the training schedule here. CEUs will be awarded for this training.
