Attorney General Hardy Myers will be joined by U.S. Representative Earl Blumenauer, Third District, Portland and members of the Attorney General's Immigration Services Fraud Task Force to discuss immigration services fraud in Oregon at a special news conference Monday, May 10.

The Department of Justice has formed a task force of community organizations and political leaders to prevent immigration services fraud. Attorney General Myers will warn recent immigrants to the United States about immigration fraud and announce recent court actions taken by his consumer protection section. Task Force members and representatives of Oregon's Congressional offices will be present to answer questions.

The news conference will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the Portland Department of Justice office in the 1515 Building, 4th Floor, 1515 S.W. 5th.
