Statement from Attorney General Hardy Myers regarding No Call Program

"I join with many Congressmen, Senators and citizens in expressing my disappointment over the federal circuit court decision declaring the FTC No Call program unconstitutional. I am confident that the FTC will take every legal step at its disposal to fight this decision and implement the directive of nearly 50 million Americans.

"Based on the ongoing uncertainty at the federal level, I am doing everything I can to ensure the Oregon No Call program is sustained beyond October 1 and that Oregonians on the state list continue to receive the unparalleled protection of privacy that they have enjoyed since the 1999 inception of our landmark law."
