Chaplains, campus ministers, and other clergy may be among the few professionals with whom survivors may have confidential and privileged communications on higher-education campuses given changes to Title IX in recent years. The Victim Rights Law Center has developed jurisdiction-specific FAQs to answer questions about clergy-penitent privilege, whether clergy are mandatory reporters of abuse and neglect, and what exceptions to clergy mandatory reporting may apply. OVW-funded victim service providers who attend this webinar will learn how these FAQs, and our Campus Workbook, can help them better protect the privacy of survivors on campus.
