Passport Revocation by U.S. Department of State

Effective August 27 the U.S. Department of State will begin revoking passports of parents who owe $25,000 or more in past-due child support. Parents who have their passport revoked should address any questions to the child support program that their debt. Parents who are out of the country at the time of revocation and need to return to the U.S. may apply at the nearest U.S. Embassy or consulate for a limited emergency passport.
