Intended participants: Victim advocates working in system and community-based agencies, including child abuse assessment centers, as well as allied professionals working with crime victims. Preference will be given to these individuals.

Learn more about Oregon’s Crime Victims’ Compensation Program (CVCP). The CVCP works to ease the financial burden suffered by hundreds of Oregonians each year as a result of violent person crimes. This training includes information about program eligibility and benefits, the application process and how payments are handled. Participants will be introduced to the CVCP Client Portal with instructions on how to register, submit an application and upload documents.

This training is a repeat of the morning training. There is no need to attend both as it is a duplication.

Parking: The Oregon State Library is located across the street from the Capitol building in Salem. Parking is available on the street, paid at kiosks located on each block. The downtown shopping district has free parking, a few blocks away from the location, which is described at this site:

https://www.cityofsalem.net/Pages/find-free-parking-in-downtown-salem.aspx

Please contact us if you register for the training, but will not be able to attend.
Sherree.M.Rodriguez@doj.state.or.us

The training is free of charge.

Registration deadline is July 28, 2019.

This training is offered regularly throughout the year in different locations. For a full list of CVCP training dates and locations, please visit: https://www.doj.state.or.us/crime-victims/training-opportunities/training-highlights/.
