The Oregon Sunshine Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, March 20 from 1:30 to 4:30 PM.

Please note: the meeting will occur at the Oregon State Archives Building in Salem, at 800 Summer Street NE. The meeting will not be livestreamed, but a call-in number is available (888-270-9936, Access code: 3049024#) for those who want to attend by phone.

The Committee will hear an update from its Subcommittee on Personally Identifiable Information (discussion and possible vote).

After that, the Committee will accept public comment on a number of exemptions relating to personal financial information. (This is a distinct category from business financial information, which the Committee will take up later.) The specific exemptions are described in this memorandum (the memo will also accessible from the Committee’s internet page). The exemptions largely relate to tax information and to information submitted in connection with seeking certain public benefits, such as court-appointed counsel.

Following public testimony, the committee will discuss future business and then adjourn.

Written comments and requests for accommodation can be sent to SunshineCommittee@doj.state.or.us.
