The Attorney General’s Consumer Hotline is staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers who personally field more than 50,000 phone calls each year. Hotline volunteers screen calls for violations of Oregon consumer protection law, answer questions on consumer topics, distribute brochures and refer callers to appropriate agencies. The Oregon Department of Justice’s Consumer Advocate Program is always seeking help to answer the phones. Volunteer shifts are four hours once a week and training is provided. If you are interested in donating your time to help Oregon consumers, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, by phone at 503-373-0371, or email at Brooks.A.Spangler@doj.state.or.us.
