What Does This Mean for Our Customers?

Beginning in September 2018, we will start moving child support cases to our new computer system. To ensure successful conversion, cases will move to Origin in four separate phases scheduled through April 2019.

Following conversion, affected customers will receive notice in the mail with information on how to sign up for a new online account. Some of the benefits of registering for an account include the ability to:

  • Update personal information.
  • View payment details and case information.
  • Receive and respond to various electronic notices and requests for information.
  • Upload documents.
  • Correspond electronically with Oregon Child Support Program staff.

In addition to the new customer portal, the formats of Oregon child support case numbers are changing to 15-digit numeric numbers. Furthermore, the office assigned to handle a case might change when a case moves to the new system.

If you would like more information, you can contact us at ChildSupportCustomerService@doj.oregon.gov or by calling Customer Service at 800-850-0228.
