Document Description

265-005-0001 » Definitions

NPRM Filed on November 8, 2023

Senate Bill 808 (2023) amended the definitions of “law enforcement officer” and “law enforcement agency” in ORS 243.812, effective January 1, 2024. The Commission has provided notice that it intends to amend its administrative rules to be consistent with those legislative changes. However, the Commission recognizes that the definitions are now inconsistent with ORS 243.808 and ORS 243.809. The Commission expects that the Legislative Assembly will amend those statutes to be consistent with the revised definitions in ORS 243.812.
