In 2019, The Oregon State Legislature authorized DOJ CVSSD to distribute $3 million in state General Funds to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with housing needs. These funds, being dubbed the Survivor Housing Funds, were offered to all of the fifty-five non-profit organizations or Tribal Nations currently eligible to receive funds through the equity formula, distributed via the Joint Non-Competitive Application.
The purpose of Survivor Housing Funds is to help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and human trafficking to maintain and access safe permanent housing. Grantees will use funds to provide staff, housing, or other financial support to survivors in order to eliminate barriers to survivors’ housing stability.
